Eileen and Bruno - a Timeless Black & White Wedding in South Jersey

Eileen and Bruno came to me from the beautiful Ram’s Head Inn - my favorite venue ever!  Closed now, the Ram’s Head Inn was once second to none in elegant dining, and my most sought after wedding location in my earliest days of photography.  Luckily, way back in the day, the other members of our shooting team “didn’t want to travel all the way down to Absecon to shoot.”  When I first broke out on my own, The Ram’s Head Inn was the first place I tried to pitch myself to.  I must have done something right, because we started an amazing relationship and friendship that lasted for over ten years.  I miss you RHI!

I met with Eileen first, before I had the chance to meet Bruno, and we clicked right off the bat.  I loved her ideas and the details she had planned for their classic wedding day.  I am a huge proponent of meeting with brides and grooms in person to talk about their wedding day.  Not only is it important for them to meet me and learn exactly who I am, but it allows for a more personal conversation where the real excitement and emotions always come out!  Eileen and Bruno planned for a smaller, more intimate wedding with a little bit of traditional flair borrowed from memories of Bruno’s parent’s wedding.  They invited just seventy of their closest friends and family for their Sunday morning church ceremony, followed by an afternoon reception at the Ram’s Head Inn.  They also wanted a beautifully crafted classic-style wedding album to hold their memories as an heirloom piece.

I loved everything about this couple and their wedding day.  I really wanted to make a unique sample album of my own, but I was having trouble with a starting point.  As I kept browsing through their wedding photos it finally dawned on me - Black and White!!  Classic Black and White.  What better way to display a wedding with so many traditional cues than as a Black and White matted portfolio album.  Let me just say - when my album arrived in my hands, I loved it so much that I would actually bring it home with me from my display office!
