Leah and Chris - a wedding on Johnson’s Farm in Medford

Another new year is here, and I am so excited about change!  In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve changed, well… just about everything!  It took me a bit of time to be able to articulate what it was that I wanted to show in my photography, but Leah’s wedding, and then her brother’s wedding last June, helped me fully realize my wedding photography direction.

Leah and Chris were married in February, which can be a bitter month here in Southern New Jersey.  And their wedding day weather was right on cue!  It was a cold and blustery day on the farm in Medford, but the outside conditions didn’t damper anyone’s spirits.  Johnson’s Corner Farm, the family farm, had been completely converted into a warm and rustic wedding venue.  The facelift had taken most of the winter season, but the transformation was astonishing!  After getting ready in separate farm houses, Leah and Chris were married “in the round” with friends and family gathered on sofas, overstuffed chairs, and wooden benches.  Following their vows, guests were greeted by informal food stations, yard games, and a beer tap wall.  More family furniture from all the farm houses provided areas for guests to relax, socialize, and listen to the awesome music provided by the night’s band. Grandmom’s paintings adorned the spaces.   Excitement, surprise, and happiness was everywhere.  It was truly a magical night!
