Amanda and AJ - A Stunning July Evening for Timeless Photographs on Long Beach Island

July evenings are made for the beach!  I met Amanda a few years ago when I photographed her sister’s wedding at Renault Winery.  Needless to say I was so happy to hear from her when it was her turn!  An engagement session was the perfect opportunity to meet AJ, and Long Beach Island provided the perfect backdrops.  The Island holds a special place in my heart, as well - it’s my “home beach”, I’ve been going there since I was in the stroller (who remembers the air strip in Manahawkin!)  Knowing the Island as well as I do, I had a few good spots in mind where we could photograph, but as always, we kinda made it up as we went along.  Amanda and AJ were absolutely amazing together, and their pup was just as excited as they were to be walking along the surf.  For a July evening, the beach was nice and cool, with just the right amount of mist along the ocean’s edge to give the backgrounds that gorgeous soft look.  Amanda and AJ were up to just about anything I threw at them, so we photographed right up until sunset.  Wrapping up the session, I promised I’d have photos for them to look through in about two weeks, and I wished them a good night.  And since I just had to, I packed up my gear, threw my shoes in the truck, and went down to walk in the water before I headed home.  The night was just right, with wide open windows and a rolled back sunroof, for a relaxing ride home.
Beach engagement sessions are the best - call me today to set yours up!

Leah and Chris - Timeless Wedding Photography at Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford

Another new year is here, 2019, and I am so excited about change!  In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve changed, well… just about everything!  It took me a bit of time to be able to articulate what it was that I wanted to show in my photography, but Leah’s wedding, and then her brother’s wedding last June, helped me fully realize my wedding photography direction.

Leah and Chris were married in February, which can be a bitter month here in Southern New Jersey.  And their wedding day weather was right on cue!  It was a cold and blustery day on the farm in Medford, but the outside conditions didn’t damper anyone’s spirits.  Johnson’s Corner Farm, the family farm, had been completely converted into a warm and rustic wedding venue.  The facelift had taken most of the winter season, but the transformation was astonishing!  After getting ready in separate farm houses, Leah and Chris were married “in the round” with friends and family gathered on sofas, stuffed chairs, and wooden benches.  Following their vows, guests were greeted by informal food stations, yard games, and a beer tap wall.  More family furniture from all the farm houses provided areas for guests to relax, socialize, and listen to the awesome music provided by the night’s band.  Excitement, surprise, and happiness was everywhere.  It was truly a magical night!
